We were recently pleased to welcome back to our office the Finnish Family Mr & Mrs Okkolin after the successful completion of their case against Anfi, where their contracts had been declared null and void.
They returned to thank the whole CLA team which also gave us the chance to thank them for their trust and patience. This is their letter to us which has been translated from Finnish:
“At the beginning of 2010, we attended the offices of CLA, despite the difficulties of language, we were able to reach an agreement on taking legal action against Anfi.
After this we delivered our ownership certificates and other documents, including our story on how we purchased the Anfi timeshare. Due again to language difficulties the process of translating these documents was a slow one, so having the services of an interpreter at an early stage is essential.
Our claim was presented to the court in 2012, Then in July of 2013 we attended court to give our evidence and answer questions. After the first instance Canarian Legal Alliance informed us that the claim had to be presented to the High Court in Las Palmas. We believed that they would turn things round in our favour.
The court proceedings moved slowly, however a decision on our claim had been made in February 2016,and it was what we had hoped for. The court decided in our favour, and the won amount was paid into our bank account in October 2016. We are now just waiting for the legal interest to be paid.
The confidence that your team had the whole time that we would achieve 100% victory, gave us the courage to fight the case, also that confidence gave us so much trust and that is how it turned out.
