To CLA team
I would like to thank Jake, the legal team and other members of staff at Canarian Legal Alliance for all their help in winning our court case against Anfi del Mar when trying to dispose of our timeshare contract. It was such a relief to hear that the court had ruled in our favour.
After the initial contact by phone from CLA, we were lucky to meet Jake and some of the staff when we visited the office in Arguineguin, Gran Canaria, in September 2016. Jake Kaiser and Paul Barnes explained the process of what would happen, but did say it was a lengthy process which could take approx. 18 months to complete. We had to pay funds upfront but this was for work that would be carried out by the legal team, eg, translation of documents, etc. We were both a little apprehensive with this, but we eventually decided to go ahead.
We were kept up to date with what was happening with the case by email with Jake and we even went back to visit Jake in the office in Arguineguin, when we returned to Gran Canaria again 2 years later. Unfortunately, our case took longer than normal
Our case was eventually scheduled for court for February this year 2019 and we are now thrilled to be free of our everlasting timeshare at Anfi.
It was a rather daunting experience of having to go to court in a foreign country, but our lawyer was excellent and put our minds at ease. The court process was very different from here in the UK, but the process and staff/lawyers involved were very good and the interpreter who represented Anfi was very helpful in her explanation of the questions put forward by the lawyers.
There are many companies springing up offering to assist with the disposal of timeshares, but we can say with ease, that CLA are excellent in their approach to everything we needed and they come highly recommended from myself and my husband.
Anyone who wishes to contact us with regard to the process is very welcome to do so and if required, will discuss the process by telephone. We cannot speak any higher of CLA. It may have taken longer than anticipated, but it was well worth it.
All we need now is the compensation that the courts ordered Anfi to pay, but not sure how long this process will take.
