Today we are starting the week with some excellent news for our English clients.
When our clients won their case against Anfi in the courts of the First Instance SBT2 their contract was declared null and void and the Judge demanded the repayment of 25.996€ PLUS INTEREST.
As expected Anfi appealed this decision…..but so did we………..
In passing the sentence the Judge made no reference to the deposits taken illegally within the statutory cooling off period which the law states should be repaid in DOUBLE.
We were confident that the High Court would rectify this oversight……and they did.
High Court No5 confirmed the sentence passed by the First court but INCREASED THE AWARDED AMOUNT BY 27.530€ in recognition of the deposits taken illegally within the statutory cooling off period taking the total awarded amount to 53.623€ PLUS INTEREST PLUS COSTS.
Congratulations to our English clients and to our Claims Consultant Jake Kaiser and Lawyer Cristina Batista.
