It’s the end of the week and as usual Canarian Legal Alliance likes to end with a bang.
This time we bring you the kind words of one of recent payout clients Mr Rolf Ingvar Høyer, who is now enjoying his 131,000€ refunded to him by Anfi.
“I started the process in 2009, which is when court proceedings in San Bartolome began, where I eventually lost. However, CLA took responsibility and recommended to continue the case, via the High Court in Las Palmas and then in the Spanish Supreme Court, where we won in both instances. This took a frustrating long time since the Spanish judicial system works thoroughly but very slowly. At the same time, Anfi used all possible opportunities to delay the case. It was a long process, however CLA was careful to always inform me about developments. I was continuously being informed about the developments of the case in a satisfactory manner and no additional fees were required beyond the agreed, although the amount of work exceeded the planned amount.
The outcome of the case was that Anfi was sentenced to repay the purchase price for the shares as a whole, as well as to pay a substantial amount of compensation and in addition interest. Overall, this amounted to just over 100,000€ which corresponded to about the double of the original purchase price. I was very pleased that. CLA’s one-time fee 6,000€ was returned to me as well, which I now consider to be reasonable when considering all qualified work that was carried out. The settlement has now been completed the money was transferred correctly to my Norwegian bank account at the end of last year.
On the basis of my experience in this case, I can safely recommend CLA’s services in disputes regarding the redemption of weekly shares against shabby timeshare companies, provided that the shares have been sold in violation of Spanish law. CLA uses well-qualified business lawyers who are obviously very experienced in such matters
In assessing such circumstances, it is important to ignore the large amount of disinformation that pervades the various players in the market. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend anyone who wants to recuperate their timeshare monies to contact CLA.
