Canarian Legal Alliance is always proud to share with you the kind words which it receives from clients. This time it is family Bernhardt who describe their experience having just been informed of their Supreme Court victory against Silverpoint (Resort Properties).
“Our journey so far. It all started in May 2005, my wife and I had one week in Hollywood Mirage. We were contacted by a sales rep. for Resort Properties who arranged for us to meet in their sales office at 2 o’clock the following day. Having spent some five and a half hours we were persuaded to purchase, on the pretext it was a sound investment, one-week membership in Club Paradiso.
In subsequence years we were persuaded and brainwashed into purchasing further club memberships.
During the year 2012, having spoken to other club members it soon become apparent we had been miss sold and not the investment we were led to believe. It was at the point we got in touch with Canarian Legal Alliance in May 2013.
Once Canarian Legal Alliance had seen all our documents they informed us we had a good case and so we instructed CLA to act for us in suing Resort Properties/Silverpoint.
The fist court hearing was set for Sep 2014 which we had to attend in Tenerife, which was a very nerve racking experience but never the less interesting.
In November 2014 CLA told us we had been successful and our contract declared null and void however as expected Silverpoint appealed to the High Court where that decision was overturned in November 2015,
CLA advised us that the next step would be to take the case to the Supreme Court and on the 6th February this year, 2018, we received the good news from CLA we had been successful, and our contracts have now been declared null and void and we are to receive a full refund.
It has been a long journey, 5 years, but thanks to the hard work a determination of CLA we have won our case against Resort Properties/Silverpoint. We can’t thank the Lawyers and staff enough for all the hard work they have done for us and continue to do so.
We would strongly recommend to anyone who feels hey have been miss sold timeshare to contact Canarian Legal Alliance but be patient as you can see the process can take a long time but well worth it. “
