“In the last few days we have heard that finally our contracts with Silverpoint Vacations are null and void.
In April 2008 after hours of hard selling and promises we finally agreed to sign up to 7 timeshare weeks.
After years of unsuccessfully trying dispose of the weeks we had (we couldn’t even give them away or give them back). In 2012 we were approached CLA and started legal proceedings. It has taken a long time especially as initially we won our case but the ruling was overturned on appeal. We were encouraged to take the matter further and appeal to the Supreme Court in Madrid. It was once again a long time before a new ruling was given but it was in our favour. We understand a precedent has now been set with this ruling and hopefully it will make things that much easier for others to win.
We would like to thank everyone who helped us along the way and in particular Jasmin Erhard and our lawyers – without them we would never have got there!!
