We would like to inform all our clients of the latest fraudulent activity which has been brought to our attention. Someone claiming to be a representative of our law firm (at the moment running with the name of Elisa Jones, but this can change) is calling clients saying that they have won their case and in order to receive the awarded funds which they are holding they should send money to cover the “taxes” in Portugal. At this moment they are calling from a Portuguese phone number and are referring to court actions in Portugal, hence using a Portuguese bank account, but again, this can change.
THIS IS A FRAUD – DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY.
After winning your case and receiving your awarded funds we will NEVER ask for additional funds to “release” this money or pay “taxes”.
