Start the Year with a Bang

Welcome to the start of 2020 with Canarian Legal Alliance, we ended 2019 with a review of another record-breaking year and continue with that success on the first working day of the New Year with 5 sentences being returned by the Court of First Instance Number 4 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.

The first sentence was received as our office opened for the first working day of the year, this was against Holiday Club Canarias Sales & Marketing SL. Once again the court has found in favour of our client with their contract being declared illegal and therefore null and void. The client will now be receiving over 20,000€ and are now timeshare free.

Within a few hours, a further 4 sentences were received from the same court, these were all cases against Anfi, with all contracts being declared null and void.

The court has awarded our clients the following:

20,227.84€

33,818.14€

30,479.00€

126,350.00€

As usual, the courts have followed the Supreme Court rulings by declaring contracts with either points or floating weeks, contracts with a duration of more than 50 years and the illegal of taking payments with the cooling-off period null and void. This has now cost these timeshare companies over 230,000€, a rather expensive start to the year!

If this first day is anything to go by, 2020 is going to be a very good year for CLA and all our clients.

If you would like to know more and find out if your contract is illegal under Spanish law and what your options are, then either call on +34 928 18 50 28 or email us on [email protected]
