Hermanos Santana Cazorla in liquidation- Does this affect ANFI?

Mercantile Court number 1 of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has agreed to initiate the liquidation procedure for the company Hermanos Santana Cazorla SL, based in Gran Canaria.

This name can ring a bell to many of our readers, as Santana Cazorla is not only well known in the Canaries for his construction businesses, but also as a partial owner with 50% of Anfi. However, we need to differentiate between the shareholder for Anfi, which is Grupo Santana Cazorla SL, and the company going into administration now, which is Hermanos Santana Cazorla SL.

The two entities are not the same, therefore this liquidation procedure will not affect the Anfi Group.

Grupo Santana Cazorla has ownership in the company Hermanos Santana Cazorla (10%), but HSC has no direct relationship with the timeshare resort. In the past, they did hold administrative titles within Anfi, but not even that anymore we shall also not forget that holding companies are very common for business with various different activities and that limited companies are only responsible for their own debts.

Let us also remind our clients that the rest of the shares of the Anfi Group are being held by the Lopesan Group / IFA, another major company in the tourism industry, now present worldwide.
